Dental Hygienist

At a young age, I knew I wanted to be a dental hygienist. I enjoy educating patients and providing them with great dental care in a comfortable setting. Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kyler, and we are obsessed with our blue heelers, Tilly and Lou. We love to be outside going on long motorcycle rides and playing fetch with the girls. I enjoy crafting, all things coffee, going to the farmers market and tending to my flower garden.

I was born in Iowa, but raised in Arkansas. I moved back to Iowa in 2013 where I finished college from Iowa Central for Dental Hygiene in 2019. My husband and I enjoy the outdoors. We like to stay active and enjoy working on house projects.

Jo has lives in Boone with her husband, Rich, and her daughter, Maggy. She has been a dental assistant for over 13 years and loves helping people! She is the mother of 5 kids and has 2 grand-dogs that she loves to spoil!

OUR COMFORT DOG

Meet Bear

Bear is Story City Dental’s English doodle comfort dog. He was born February 22, 2018, and shortly thereafter joined the Binkowski family and started therapy dog training. Bear loves coming into the office to meet patients and to stand by their sides for stress-free, anxiety-free — and even fun — procedures.

FUN FACTS ABOUT BEAR

  • An English doodle is half English cream golden retriever and half poodle
  • Binkowski’s daughters named the dog Bear because they thought he looked like a polar bear
  • His favorite place to be is at the side of a human
  • The Binkowski family loves everything about him — except for the holes he digs in their backyard
